Chuck Baird Foundation ART MAGAZINE

The mission of Chuck Baird Foundation (CBF) is to promote and empower emerging deaf visual artists, by featuring them in the CBF Art Magazine magazine. Their high quality work deserves to be recognized and appreciated by the deaf and hearing community at large as they make a first bold step in their careers as artists.
The online magazine and e-newsletter is free for anyone to enjoy browsing and viewing new art by deaf persons that is related to the beauty and power of their experience and surroundings. The nonprofit organization was founded in July, 2010 and affiliated with Deaf Cultural Center in Olathe, Kansas.

Artists are the great mind of creatives arts
Hi, how are you? My wife and I are ASL students (hearing) from NY and we have a presentation to do on a deaf artist. My wife found you and is going to do her presentation on you and “Art No.2.” She’s an art history major and would like to know what your medium is and what style you consider yourself. I would like to let you know that the link to which I found this website is actually misspelled. From ChuckBairdart.com, in your bio, there is a link to chuckabirdfoundation.org. Kinda funny, but just thought you should know.
Hello Chuck Baird,
my name is Mr. Nicholas Pucciarelli, a deaf student at College of Staten Island in Staten Island, NY. Its located in a borough of New York City, which has five boroughs. My ASL professor, Dorey Houle and I have been trying to reach in with you. We would like to have you come as our guest during DAW, Deaf Awarness Week in the month of September. I do know that you would be in town for the DeafNation Expo in Queens on Saturday, September 24th. We would love to have you on Thursday or Friday for a special assembly for the deaf community and the asl students. Ms. Dorey Houle would like to know your fee as she would make an arrangement. Please let me know your response as soon as possible as I know you are very busy with your hands full of loveable and dedicating painting which each semester, the asl students would not stop talking about you as they are very ambitious to see you in person. I have met you several times, but I would like to have you as our first guest to bring an exposure to our school. I would like to hear your response soon, thank you and have a good day.
I have forgotten to add the comments, I did tried and searched for your accurate email address which it is not on this webpage or other webpages either. I only think of this way to get in touch with you, thank you.

It was with great sadness that I watched Chuck Baird’s winter video from his hospital bed, but it was with much greater sadness to hear that his talent has been taken from us. Hopefully the light he shared with others will be continued through the work of this foundation.
I met Chuck Baird last year. It’s so sad that he passed away. I already misses him. But I know he is in peace now
“Art is a selective re-creation of reality according to an artist’s metaphysical value-judgments. An artist recreates those aspects of reality which represent his fundamental view of man’s nature” Ayn Rand
Thank you Chuck for sharing your nature, and thank you Lord for sharing Chuck.
Bless Chuck’s heart, soul, wit, hands and paintbrushes. His canvas and paintings willalways be laughing and be music to our eyes. Chuck and his artwork will constantly be an inspiration to many of us and the next generations to come. One’s life has a time frame, fortunately, one’s art will stretch upon forever.
I was happy to see this foundation in place & it’s endearing that Chuck was able to leave pieces of his legacy with us. I’m interested in buying some of his work. Hope the logistics are worked out soon!
May we all be comforted as we mourn the loss of this dear and special friend.
I will never forget when Chuck showed me a fingerpelled “yawn” that looked exactly like someone yawning! Too soon gone from this world!
Amy

I have very fond memories of Chuck when we were all at KSD. He was very kind to my two deaf daughters and we have wonderful pictures of them all together. He also came to Scarborough School as a role model for the deaf children there. I loved his political art! He will be missed, BL
